Here at ICAAL, we don’t like to talk about ourselves too much; we prefer to spend our time helping our clients get results. However, last year was such a significant chapter in ICAAL’s story, with lots of exciting changes. We want to reflect on a couple of the most monumental.
In January 2019, ICAAL parted ways with its lead generation division, CloudGlaze. Although letting go of this was emotional, we know that hard decisions are essential to realise new entrepreneurial ventures and expand horizons. Selling CloudGlaze created a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop our marketing services.
As ever, the ICAAL team grabbed this opportunity for growth with both hands and we needed a larger office space in under a year. It’s a testament to our strategic approach, clear mission statement and people-centric culture that we have enjoyed such year on year growth. Luckily for us, 11-15 Bugle Street appeared on the market, offering more space (5,300 sq ft to be precise) and inspirational character. This incredible new building delivers everything we’ll need to continue providing exceptional digital marketing over the coming months and years. It even boasts enough room for us as we look to grow from 50 to 100 people over the next 3 to 5 years.
Our new space, 11-15 Bugle Street, is a beautiful building, rich in history. In fact, it is one of the few Grade II* Listed buildings in Southampton. Its heritage is obvious from the characterful exposed beams and brickwork, panelled walls and stained-glass windows. With such a vivid past, we feel privileged to call this space our new headquarters.
Previously, a convent and chapel, the building is structured around a Georgian house and Victorian chapel. It now also boasts a modern single-storey extension, which is the perfect place for the kitchen and leisure area. As well as its impressive history, 11-15 Bugle Street offers a versatile, open plan space, ideal for enabling creativity and results.
Because we never settle for simply good enough here at ICAAL, we have also carried out a bespoke fitout. These improvements reflect ICAAL’s continued dedication to investing in our staff team, enabling them to achieve their best work. Elements like our new kitchen and leisure area are also a way of us saying thank you to the team for their hard work because, without them, none of the company’s success would be possible. We are so proud to have such a hard-working group of expert website developers, SEO specialists, graphic designers and more.
Commenting on the move, our CEO Chris Tahmasaby said:
“We are delighted to be moving into our new ICAAL HQ this year. Having completed a fantastic fitout programme over the last few weeks, the start of 2020 is an exciting time for ICAAL and the team.
“The last couple of years have seen the business grow organically and relocating to bigger offices has always been part of our long-term strategy. I am naturally very proud of our team for all their hard work to make this spectacular move possible. Bugle Street is a truly special location, quite out of the ordinary and will give us the space to continue to expand our range of services, to new and existing clients alike.”
Tom Holloway, Director of the letting agency Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell (who have been integral to our move), added:
“It’s rare to find a building like 11-15 Bugle Street so close to the city centre. Having been substantially refurbished, ICAAL’s bespoke fitout plans will make it a stunning location.
“Being a stone’s throw to the coast, there are also great views across both Mayflower Park and the Solent to enjoy.”
To celebrate and explore the fantastic new space, our team took a look round during the ICAAL Christmas party. Here are a couple of pictures of the first time we got to see the new building:
Although this move is an exciting chapter of the ICAAL story, we are even more excited to see what else the new year (and new decade) have in store for us. Our team are looking forward to welcoming faces, old and new, to our HQ.
