advance joinery

Having joined Emplas’s online approved installer network (created by ICAAL), Advance Joinery commissioned a stunning new website to better show-off their market-leading products. View our work for Emplas here.

The Brief

Advance Joinery came to ICAAL wanting a website re-design. They wanted their website to be a better reflection of their business and brand.

Who better then, to help them improve their site and online visibility than ICAAL? A creative, digital marketing agency that has worked with hundreds of companies within the home improvement industry.

Along with a brand new website, Advance Joinery also received a unique range of marketing assets from us – another advantage to choosing an agency specialising in the home improvement sector!

The Challenge

Their existing website didn’t offer a great deal of functionality. This meant that the company couldn’t display their products in the right way. For a quality company such as theirs, this was a major red flag.

As a home improvement company with a stunning array of high-end products, this was extremely frustrating. Not only was their website giving a poor representation of their products but it was also, potentially, costing them leads.

The website also proved hard to navigate – not great for user experience and time on site.  It was clear that, in order to help their intended user experience, a UX strategy was needed.

How We Helped

User experience is primarily focused on the following: visual design, content design and interactive design.

We focused on these three things when designing the new website so that it would be:

  • Designed for everyone – both B2B and B2C users
  • Optimised for speed – this can highly effect user experience
  • Have clear navigation – users can easily make their way around the site

What We Built

We built a unique two-site ‘split’ system under one domain. A website that would work for both aspects of their business: their timber joinery service and their sister company.

This hub was created so that both B2B and B2C customers could easily navigate their way on site. We wanted to make it as simple as possible for users to find their services and products.

To better display their products, we added interactive CGI’s. A great way for users to get a detailed look at their home improvement products.

Our SEO content team also created new and engaging copy for the website. Our team always write with the search engines in mind, with content strategies designed to improve rankings.
